Judging from the lavish launch party last Tuesday at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, our favorite annual culinary event SF Chefs will turn once again into a festive celebration of good taste and pleasant encounters with the supremely talented chefs of the city.
Here are some snapshots from the party, followed by a special announcement from the creators and organizers of SF Chefs. As always, people before food and drink, but can you look at the food shots and not get your SF Chefs tickets right this very minute?

Announced at the party, “Masters of their Craft: Celebrating the Great Female Chefs and Sommeliers of San Francisco” dinner is scheduled for Sunday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Prospect Restaurant in San Francisco. Tickets on sale now:

“Join SF Chefs and the San Francisco Chronicle for an unforgettable evening highlighting the amazing female talent present in the City by the Bay. This extraordinary event will feature an all-star lineup hand-selected by acclaimed restaurant critic Michael Bauer and James Beard award winner, Miriam Morgan. Host Chef Nancy Oakes (Boulevard and Prospect) welcomes April Bloomfield (Tosca), Dominique Crenn (Atelier Crenn), Loretta Keller (Coco500), Emily Luchetti (Farallon and Waterbar), Pam Mazzola (Prospect), Melissa Perello (Frances), Gayle Pirie (Foreign Cinema), Jennifer Puccio (Marlowe and Park Tavern) and Dana Younkin (Boulevard). Guests will experience an unforgettable eight-course meal paired with wines hand-selected by some of the Bay Area’s most skilled female sommeliers, led by A16 and SPQR’s Shelley Lindgren. To make it a true trifecta, many of the wines will come from female winemakers as well. Dinner will be followed by a delectable dessert party with sweets prepared by some of San Francisco’s top pastry chefs. 40% of every ticket will be donated to the Chronicle Season of Sharing Fund a non-profit organization.”

Cheers, dears!
